Innovative Universities in Music & Arts in Europe - IN.TUNE is the only European University Alliance in the field of music and arts. The programme for AIRE 2026 is now available, ahead of the event on 8-9 April at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. As the Annual IN.TUNE Research in Education Event, AIRE brings together teachers, students, and researchers to explore how research, supervision, and teaching practice inform each other across higher music and arts education. This year’s edition, focused on research education and supervision, offers a rich picture of how research-based education is developed and practised across the alliance. With the event taking place next week, we warmly invite you to explore the programme and discover the range of questions, approaches, and practices that will shape this year’s discussions.

On 24 April, the Royal Conservatoire The Hague and the IN.TUNE Alliance hosted the TCA Fourth Franco-Dutch Strategic Dialogue on European Universities Alliances 2026.
The event brought together representatives from 23 European Universities Alliances, alongside 17 Dutch and 20 French higher education institutions. Participants also included representatives from the European Commission, national ministries of education and science, and organisations active across the sector. Discussions focused on upcoming funding cycles, policy developments, the Joint European Degree, and the future direction of European collaboration in higher education.
At its core, the Strategic Dialogue aimed to strengthen Franco-Dutch cooperation within the European higher education landscape.
