Innovative Universities in Music & Arts in Europe - IN.TUNE is the only European University Alliance in the field of music and arts. It brings together eight universities from North, East, South and West Europe striving to deepen their cooperation to bring about institutional transformation and the enhancement of their quality, performance, attractiveness and international competitiveness. In line with the goals set by the European strategy for universities, underlining the important role of higher education in shaping sustainable, democratic and resilient societies, IN.TUNE members are committed to the development of a joint long-term strategy with a strong artistic dimension for high quality education, research, innovation and service to society, becoming a role model for the wider higher education community across Europe and beyond.

From 11 to 13 May 2026, the IN.TUNE Summit will gather the alliance community at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna for three days of exchange on the future directions of music and arts education in Europe.
As the alliance’s largest event, the Summit will gather members of the Work Package Committees and Working Groups, the Governing Board, the Alliance Management Team, the Student Council and associated partners. Together, participants will share experiences and achievements from the first half of the project cycle, strengthen connections across the alliance, groups, institutions, and partner organisations, and open a dialogue on its future development and sustainability.

Ana Blagojević and Eva Marković from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade joined students, researchers and educators from across Europe in Oslo for AIRE 2026 (Annual IN.TUNE Research in Education), hosted by the Norwegian Academy of Music. Focusing on supervision in higher music education, the event brought together inspiring presentations, discussions and new collaborations within the IN.TUNE Alliance. In this student perspective, Ana and Eva share their impressions of presenting at the conference, connecting with colleagues from across Europe, and discovering how international exchange can open new ways of thinking about music, research and learning.
