Joint education provision and mobility

Actions and outcomes in this thematic field aim to development of an inter-university ‘campus’ with seamless mobility, in the physical, online and hybrid format, along with new innovative forms of structural transnational cooperation.

SEAMLESS MOBILITY FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF

In Music & Art universities/institutions but also in the artistic professions more widely, mobility plays a crucial role. Therefore, seamless mobility for students and staff represents one of the key outcomes of the IN. TUNE Alliance. This seamless mobility is structured, in terms of aims and activities, into two main directions:

·  the creation of the IN. TUNE Mobility Framework, which will facilitate the mobility for students, teachers and non-academic staff within the alliance by setting clear procedures and unified information channels.

·  the creation of the IN. TUNE e-Learning Policy, as IN.TUNE sees important opportunities with regard to virtual and blended forms of mobility in addition to in-person mobility.

Increasing the awareness among the students and the academic community around the importance and opportunities of mobility - in all its forms (long-term, short-term, in-person, virtual, blended), supported by the technical support of digital tools, platforms and systems, represents the main goals of this work package. Tailored to fit all the expectations, mobility will become the new normal for academic life within the alliance.

Offers

We will explore a wide variety of opportunities available for students, teachers and non-academic staff:

·  seamless mobility experiences, both with regard to credit and degree mobility

·  long-term or short-term mobility

·  masterclasses and workshops, both live and through low latency online systems

·  online and blended courses

·  language support: crucial to the IN.TUNE concept of mobility, opportunities for students and staff to attend language courses to overcome linguistic barriers are offered.

·  joint offer and online database for course descriptions to facilitate flexible & individualised learning pathways: the IN. TUNE Alliance will develop a joint offer and online database with course descriptions, so that students will be able to create their own study journeys, thus designing flexible and individualised learning pathways

·  technical resources for digital low-latency systems for online masterclasses and workshops, as well as digital learning management systems for online teaching. This will also include developing digital educational skills for teachers in IN.TUNE institutions

In today's rapidly evolving educational landscape, traditional methods of teaching are being reimagined to cater for innovative learning approaches. Offering students alternative learning pathways and flexible learning opportunities through new collaborative educational formats are one the main outcomes of the IN.TUNE alliance.  Flexible learning pathways allow students to tailor their educational journey according to their unique strengths, interests, and pace of learning. By embracing innovation and adaptability, we can empower students to thrive in the digital age and become lifelong learners equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.

Offers

The IN.TUNE alliance will create:

·  joint online/hybrid courses: these are courses that can be accessed remotely and in some cases may have live components

·  joint blended intensive programs: this is a mobility format combining short-term physical mobility of students and teachers with a virtual preparation and/or follow up

·  joint modules: courses offered jointly by partner institutions

·  joint programmes: joint study programmes developed and offered jointly by partner institutions

For the development of these new educational formats, IN.TUNE will be taking a step-by-step approach by inviting departments, sections, teachers and students to come forward with ideas for such joint educational formats through regular information calls.
