Exploring supervision in artistic research: IN.TUNE webinar series
Throughout the 2026–27 academic year, IN.TUNE will bring together perspectives from across its partner institutions and beyond for a series of webinars on artistic research and supervision. Topics range from ethical responsibilities and different approaches to supervision to the assessment of artistic research and connections between music theory and artistic practice.
Each 75-minute session combines presentations with discussion, offering participants an opportunity to reflect on their own work and learn from colleagues in different institutional contexts. The series is open to staff and students from all eight IN.TUNE institutions, including supervisors, researchers and anyone interested in artistic research. All sessions will be held in English.

How to take part
Participation is free of charge for staff and students at IN.TUNE partner institutions. You can register for one or more sessions using the Webropol registration form. Registration for each session will be open until a week before the session. All webinars will take place on Zoom. Registered participants will receive the participation link approximately one week before each session.

The series is organised by IN.TUNE’s Work Package 4, Strengthening our research dimension, through its working groups on Research Areas and Environments and Research Education and Supervision. Led by the University of the Arts Helsinki, this work package develops cooperation linking research and education across the alliance.
