On 18 September, IN.TUNE will feature on the opening day of the 25th AEC International Relations Coordinators’ Meeting at the Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, with the first AEC Talk, Charting Currents of Change: IN.TUNE’s Compass for Collaborative Innovation. In it, the Alliance co-Secretary General Tone Jordhus (Norwegian Academy of Music) will share a practical compass for collaborative innovation — how long-term, artistically led cooperation turns internationalisation into everyday impact across our institutions.
By uniting eight diverse universities in music and the arts, IN.TUNE is turning differences into strengths and shaping a shared strategic course towards sustainable, high-quality education under this year event’s theme, The Great Mobility Compass.
The talk spotlights one of IN.TUNE’s strategic “trajectories”: a step-by-step pathway for joint educational formats that support progressive curriculum development. Starting with blended intensive programmes and online collaborative courses, and progressing towards joint modules and ultimately full joint programmes, the approach creates flexible learning routes that empower students and modernise curricula. Crucially, these formats can be realised with targeted Erasmus+ collaboration, enabling partners to exchange expertise, align teaching practices, and build capacity—without waiting for new funding schemes. Throughout, the pivotal role of International Relations Coordinators as navigators of this transformation will be emphesised, helping institutions connect strategy with classrooms and studios while keeping benefits tangible for current cohorts.
