Strengthening Mobility Across IN.TUNE: In-Presence Meeting in Helsinki

On 10-11 February 2025, the Mobility Working Group met at the University of the Arts Helsinki to advance discussions on harmonizing mobility practices within the IN.TUNE Alliance. This in-person meeting was part of the ongoing efforts to develop seamless mobilities for students and staff, ensuring streamlined exchanges across partner institutions.

The focus of the discussions was in addressing challenges identified in the Inventory of existing arrangements for mobility across all partners, which was one of the key results from year 1. These include funding and financial support, administrative infrastructure, and the alignment of curricula and recognition procedures.

One of the main outcomes of the meeting was the outlining student mobility journey into clear procedural stages, from an idea and application, to return and resuming studies at the home university, allowing for a more transparent and navigable mobility process.

Through experience-sharing, discussions, and brainstorming, participants explored potential solutions to improve each stage, with a strong emphasis on streamlining administrative processes and enhancing clarity for students and staff.

The meeting marked an important step in shaping a common framework for mobility within IN.TUNE. Looking ahead, the group will continue refining these processes to increase accessibility and efficiency for all participants.
