On March 5th, the IN.TUNE Student Council, part of the IN.TUNE - Innovative Universities in Music & Arts in Europe initiative, officially commenced its activities. Comprised of student representatives from all alliance partner institutions, the council represents a significant advancement towards integrating the student voice within the governing bodies of the alliance.
The IN.TUNE Student Council will play a vital role in representing student interests within the alliance's decision-making processes. Each partner institution has contributed two students to the council, with one participating directly in the Governing Board and the other in one of the Work Package Committees. This structure not only amplifies student representation but also ensures that their insights and perspectives contribute to shaping the alliance's strategic directions.
The council's commencement brought together students from all IN.TUNE academic partners: Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH), National University of Music Bucharest (UNMB), Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), University of the Arts Helsinki - Sibelius Academy (Uniarts Helsinki), Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw), University of the Arts The Hague - The Royal Conservatoire The Hague (HdK), and University of Arts in Belgrade - Faculty of Music (UAB).
The Student Council's active participation in institutional and international forums will bolster IN.TUNE's mission of fostering innovative and collaborative education in music and arts. By acting as ambassadors, the council members will bridge the gap between the alliance and the wider European student community, promoting the #intunealliance and its objectives.
