IN.TUNE Alliance: First Six Months Highlights

In the first six months since its launch on January 1, 2024, the IN.TUNE Alliance has made exciting progress. With a central management team and dedicated Institutional Alliance Managers, we've been collaborating smoothly through our MS Teams platform, which now connects over 170 members. Our Work Package Committees are up and running, holding regular meetings that foster a spirit of teamwork. We've also been participating in international forums, making our mark in the European higher education scene. The Student Council has been very active, with several meetings already held and more to come.

Since kicking off on January 1, 2024, IN.TUNE has swiftly moved forward, marking 100 days of dynamic growth and laid a strong foundation for collaboration and innovation within the alliance. These are some of the key highlights from the beginning of our journey.

IN.TUNE University Alliance to be officially launched at the AEC Annual Congress in The Hague

The public launch of the IN.TUNE European University Alliance will take place at the AEC Annual Congress 2023 “Enhancing Quality Through Sustainable Connections” at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague on 10 November 2023.

IN.TUNE European Universities Alliance launched at the 50th AEC Annual Congress at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague

The IN.TUNE European Universities Alliance was officially launched and presented on Friday 10th November 2023 at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, in the frame of the jubilee AEC event marking the 70th anniversary of the European Association of Conservatories.

IN.TUNE Student Council Inaugural Meeting: Voicing the Future of Music and Arts Education

On March 5th, the IN.TUNE Student Council, part of the IN.TUNE - Innovative Universities in Music & Arts in Europe initiative, officially commenced its activities. Comprised of student representatives from all alliance partner institutions, the council represents a significant advancement towards integrating the student voice within the governing bodies of the alliance.

IN.TUNE University Alliance to start on January 1st 2024

The European University Alliance IN.TUNE will start on January 1st 2024. Selected as one of the seven new alliances under the 2023 Erasmus+ European Universities call, the IN.TUNE will join 51 existing alliances in the frame of the European Universities initiative as the only one in the field of music and arts.

First Meetings of Governing Board, Executive Committee, and Student Council in Oslo

We are excited to announce that the first meetings of the Governing Board, Executive Committee, and Student Council will take place on June 17-18, 2024, at The Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH) in Oslo. Additionally, the Alliance Management Team will also gather during this time. These meetings mark a significant milestone for our alliance, bringing together participants to discuss and shape the future direction of our collaborative efforts.

First Live WP6 Committee Meeting in Vienna: 4-5 June, 2024

The recent Work Package on Societal Engagement (WP6) Committee meeting at the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna marked the first live session for the team. The meeting was a productive and insightful event for alliance members. The session began with a warm welcome and opening remarks, setting a positive tone for discussions. The initial focus was on the WP6 Matrix, which outlines activities across all involved universities in lifelong learning, employability, professional integration, and sustainable careers. This matrix provides an overview of strategies and ideas for the alliance's future..

Helsinki Hosts Successful IN.TUNE WP4 Meeting

The IN.TUNE WP4 – Strengthening our research dimension – Committee concluded the first live and productive on-site meeting in Helsinki on May 15-16, 2024. Hosted by Uniarts Helsinki at the Sibelius Academy, the event brought together committee members for two days of focused discussions and collaborative sessions.

Successful Kick-Off for IN.TUNE WP5 Meetings in Barcelona

The first live meetings for IN.TUNE Work Package 5: Capacity Building and Innovation in Learning & Teaching, took place on May 14-15, 2024, at ESMUC in Barcelona. These meetings marked a significant step towards advancing the alliance's goals and aims in higher music education.

The IN.TUNE Alliance Management Team and Administrative Committee"s inaugural in-person meeting on March 13 and 14, 2024, at the National University of Music Bucharest (UNMB), served as a valuable gathering for fostering collaboration and dialogue. This event welcomed delegates from Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH), Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), University of the Arts Helsinki – Sibelius Academy (Uniarts Helsinki), Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw), University of the Arts The Hague – The Royal Conservatoire The Hague (HdK), and University of Arts in Belgrade – Faculty of Music (UAB).
